Cursillo - A Short Course in Christianity

Cursillo (kur-see-yo) is a Spanish word meaning “little” or “short course.” Cursillo is a worldwide movement, which has proven to be a dynamic and life-changing experience for many. The weekend consists of 3 days (beginning on a Thursday evening and ending on the following Sunday evening). During those three days, those attending live and work together listening to talks ("short courses") given by priests, religious and laity. The Cursillo is intended for those looking for Christian renewal in order for "that person to effectively influence his/her environment and life situation”. The Cursillo Movement of the Diocese of Phoenix calls Mt. Claret home, and is offered 3 times per year. Many parishioners from St. Thomas the Apostle have lived their Cursillo, and the results have been transforming.
