Volunteers Needed at the Downtown Campus

St. Vincent de Paul

Our downtown campus is currently in need of volunteers who wish to serve the homeless. We recently opened our brand new Ministry building and can now assist so many more individuals in need. We have full showers and resources to help with food, clothing and other counseling. Here is a sampling of some of the open volunteer opportunities:

Resource Center Volunteer Wish List:

  • 5 volunteers needed for the phone center Mon-Fri 8:00am-2:00pm (in other words...one volunteer needed per day) 2 to 4 hour shifts are ideal.
  • 2 volunteers needed for TAC (Transient Aid Center) Thursday 9:00-11:30am. This area helps individuals who have moved to Phoenix, however, wish to return to their home state.
  • 1 volunteer needed each day = Monday, Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday Hours 9:30am-2:30pm to conduct intake interviews (The most desperate need now is to find volunteers for Monday and Fridays). Intake interviews are for basic services: Homelessness prevention, rent, utility, TAC and services to end homelessness.

If you can volunteer one day per week or twice monthly...it helps greatly. Whatever your schedule is...we are happy to accommodate. Would report to Cherylyn Strong, Manager Special Ministries.
